We had the most amazing weather this weekend,
25 degrees in May!
We have been working in our garden and it's really starting to
come together. This is the view from instead our living
Willow arbour, we built it mid March and it has really started
to green up. I gladly sat in the arbour and took refuge
from the sun.

This is my 1st felted knit. I had originally made a
scarf with this pink wool but realised it was super
itchy so would never be able to wear it as a scarf.
I didn't want to waste the time I put into it so I
decided to turn it into a purse. I sewed up the
sides , put it in the washing machine at 60 degrees and waited to see what would happen.
I was pretty happy with the result, I made a little flower to attach to it, to finish it off:)

Let them eat cake............................
I made these cakes after buying a great book Jean Green Howe's 'Jiffy Knits'. That way I can permanently have cakes on my cake stand. They are very easy to make, all items are knitted in garter stitch, great for anyone who can't crochet, I love all those cute aragumi crochet characters, but until I learn how to crochet these are a great alternative:)

Just Knit
My 1920's cloche, this was my 1st attempt at knitting in the round, love this design by ' Just call me Ruby' she has some fab designs on ravelry, I also made one of her shrugs it's super toasty:)
Poached Egg my 1st Knit
I've been knitting alot recently, I rediscovered it at Christmas when my boyfriend 'Dave' bought me an amazing set of vintage knitting needles in an array of colours and sizes.
Since then I've been obsessed, I started by knitting a poached egg (as requested by Dave) followed by bags, flowers, shrugs, hats and more hats. I've also just discovered vintage knitting patterns in my local junk shop 'granny's actic'. I spend my lunchbreak in there at least 3 times a week. It's amazing, beautiful old brooches, necklaces, scarfs , and of coarse, patterns :)
