Sunday 19 July 2009

We spent Saturday afternoon out geocaching , it's lovely seeing local areas that we never knew existed. We did 11 in total:) The first was a multi cache which was made up of 8, and then we did three more on the way home. I wish I had made my knitted flowers and brought them with me, I'm going to start knitting them this week and then hopefully (if not working )find a kool cache next wkend to place them in :)

GEOCACHING KNITS & OUR SEASIDE THEMED SHED

I was working Saturday, so decided I needed to do something fun with my time on Sunday. After sorting out our new shed, (we are painting it in blue and cream stripes for our garden:)we went geocaching with the help of Dave's new iphone. We found two kool caches, bumping into some fellow geocachers at one. They were extreme geocachers to the point of wearing matching T-shirts LOL:)Anyway back to the knit plan, I've decided to start knitting colourful flowers and leave them in caches ,we can then check in on them and follow their travels online.

This is one of the caches we found at Lanhill longbarrow, it's a neolithic burial site not far from where we live, we never knew it existed . This is a picture of me by the entrance to the burial site.

NEW ITEMS FOR MY SHELF OF COOL..................

We just came back from an amazing 5 day trip to Berlin with our friends:)
Jill and I found a super kool market where we made a few purchases.
Jill spotted these amazing original 'Acapulco' Delfware pieces from afar for my collection, Thanks Jill:)
There were quite a few items on offer, some way to big to bring home in one piece,so I settled on a sugar bowl, a milk jug ,1 cup & saucer and a lovely coffee pot.
They are in mint condition. I have just rearranged my poor neglected shelf to fit them in,they look great, love them:)
